For almost 40 years the Center has been forefront of Microbiological and Genetic quality controls of laboratory rodents in Japan.

The Center's mission is threefold;
　1) to improve the Microbiological and Genetic quality of laboratory rodents in Japan as a Trusted Third Party with high quality testing,
　2) to educate various techniques for the Microbiological and Genetic Monitoring to trainee including the person in foreign countries for propulsion in-house testing,
　3) to provide the newest information regarding Microbiological and Genetic Monitoring.
